| Personality: | Avery is a quiet individual. Patient and gentle, they work hard as a curator for the strange and unusual. They are well organized and responsible, passionate about their work, and often times called a perfectionist. They're also stubborn, and while their attention to detail is often praised, they can go a bit overboard and work until certain things are done properly. While it seems that they work too hard, they enjoy the work given to them. Despite their kindness, no one knows much about them. They're not talkative when it comes to personal details, often cited as withdrawn and a master of changing the subject of a conversation. They are a private person, keeping their emotions close to their chest, and would rather listen to their friends talk than spill their own secrets. To that degree, they are attentive to their friend's needs, going out of their way to help them in times of need. |
| Background: | Avery Holloway was born in London, England to Vivian and Edward Holloway. They were raised by them until the age of 8 where they lost their lives. There they were taken in by their aunt and uncle to be raised through primary school. Once they were old enough, their aunt and uncle couldn't handle the burden of taking care of them so they started to bounce between relatives' homes until they turned 18. At 18 they were afforded the opportunity to study at Harvard in the United States and travelled to the states. Most of their time at Harvard was uneventful, until after the spring exam season. They went out drinking with friends at the local bar and never knew how much the driver had to drink. They got into the passenger seat of the car and they ended in the side of a building only moments later. Thankfully no one died, but all were taken to the hospital to be treated for various injuries. Avery graduated with a master's degree in arcane sciences despite not being able to utilize magic himself (much to his disappointment). He returned to London where they accepted a job with the Nymphhood Arcane Bureau. They work within their intake department where they accept magical, arcane, and strange items that people no longer want. |
